Proudly Serving Our Injured Servicemembers
It can be more difficult to file a lawsuit against the military than against any other entity, but this should not deter you from seeking the compensation you deserve. At Chivinski Law Firm, APC, we believe in standing up for active-duty service members who have experienced a personal injury or medical malpractice.
Military law is quite different from civilian law. It is crucial to work with an attorney who has successfully handled medical malpractice lawsuits, including many cases of malpractice in military medical facilities. Our founding attorney, Andrew Chivinski, has more than 10 years of legal experience in a variety of practice areas. He has helped service members stationed across the country, including at Camp Pendleton, Fort Hood, Fort Myers and Fort Bragg.
We handle cases involving all medical procedures performed on military installations, including:
- Surgical errors
- Prescription errors
- Misdiagnosis
- Staff or physician negligence
- Birth injuries to mother or infant

What Is The Feres Doctrine?
The Feres Doctrine is a law stating that active-duty military personnel cannot file lawsuits against the military. However, Congress recently overturned part of this doctrine. If you are an active-duty service member, you may file certain actions against the military or against federal entities such as Veterans Administration hospitals.
Protect Your Rights And Your Career
Many service members worry that pursuing a case will put their careers at risk. Although you have every right to seek damages for medical malpractice, it is, unfortunately, true that some military personnel will discourage – or may even try to penalize – you for this. Do not let this dissuade you from seeking the compensation you deserve.
Chivinski Law Firm, APC knows how to enforce your rights and shield you from potential negative consequences. If you experienced an illness or injury in a military hospital, you have every right to pursue your case – and we will help you.
